Skipping Kansas: Summer Slaughter + Nile

Summer Slaughter came to Lawrence in its first year and is continuing the trend of ignoring us yet again.

Aug 8 2010 – The Rave Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Aug 9 2010 – House of Blues Chicago, Illinois
Aug 10 2010 – First Ave Minneapolis, Minnesota
Aug 11 2010 – Emerson Theatre Indianapolis, Indiana
Aug 13 2010 – Summit Music Hall Denver, Colorado
Aug 14 2010 – Club Sound Salt Lake City, Utah

Seems to be the closest.

Nile is touring the US again but the line-up is decidedly wearker than last time. Ex Deo, Psycroptic, etc. are supporting. Nothing to be upset about missing.

Skipping Kansas: Summer Slaughter (again)

After a complete (or near) sell-out at the Bottleneck back in 2007, Summer Slaughter, for the second year in a row, is skipping Kansas (and Missouri, Oklahoma, Nebraska...wtf?). Closest date is going to be either Denver or Minnesota. The tour returns this year with, in my opinion, the best line-up yet, featuring Necrophagist and Suffocation with support from Ensiferum, Dying Fetus, and Wichita's very own ORIGIN! Write angry e-mails for this one, folks.

Summer Slaughter 2009 Line-up Revealed?

NECROPHAGIST
SUFFOCATION
ENSIFERUM
DARKEST HOUR
WINDS OF PLAGUE
DYING FETUS
BORN OF OSIRIS
ORIGIN
AFTER THE BURIAL

That's right, Kansas's own Origin (possibly the best technical/brutal death metal band the US has to offer right now) is gonna be on this mofo. Besides from Winds Of Plague, this looks lile the best Summer Slaughter yet. :D
